Hello:
My doctor (neurologist) is starting a new office for an anesthesiologist. Would anyone be able to assist me moving forward with general coding/billing questions?
Thank you,

I would say the first order of business is to find a good billing software that is designed for anesthesia. As having a software that calculates concurrency is very important. Second, some excellent print resources include:

Decision Health's Anesthesia & Pain Answers online resource (see link) has been an invaluable resource for me. http://www.anesthesiapainanswers.com/Default.aspx

Also, you will need the ASA's Crosswalk (crosses CPT codes to anesthesia codes) and RVG (relative value guide) I would recommend first reading the RVG from cover to cover. It's not long and has the ASA's official guidance.
