Could someone help me, please? The Pediatric cardiologist I work for likes to bill 99255 for inpatient consultation for a critically ill newborn. Most insurance companies won't pay the claim for two reasons. There is another consultation during the same admission or its incorrect code. Can send a corrected claim and bill 99232-99233.
Something for the office visit he likes to use the 99244 most insurance is not paying. Can I send a corrected claim to the insurance and bill for a new patient 99201-99205 or 99212-99215 for an established patient? I'm in Florida.:) Thanks for your help.
