PHYSICIAN CODER FOR MEDICAL GROUP IN LOS ANGELES, CA
THIS IS A TEMP TO HIRE
ONSITE CODER M-F 8AM-5PM
Job Description
The Physician Coder performs coding on all diagnoses, procedures, professional services, and supplies. Uses the most accurate codes for reimbursement purposes, research, epidemiology, statistical analysis outcomes, financial and strategic planning, evaluation of quality of care, and communication to support the patient's treatment. Maintains the confidentiality of patient records and procedures.
Qualifications
At least 2 years previous experience with E/M , ICD9, HCPCS and CPT Coding. AAPC or AHIMA certified. At least one year experience in ASA, CPT-4, ICD-9 (ICD-10) and RBRVS coding.
Experience instructing/teaching others in differing aspects of coding as it relates to various medical personnel preferred.
