The newly added code for bursa injections with ultrasound guidance 20611.. has anyone come across any issues when billing for this code and the insurance denying because they do not have the new/updated code in their systems yet?
We are getting denials from our Medicaid managed care plans and the new codes are on the Medicaid fee schedule yet the managed care plans are denying for procedure not found on service/Procedure conversion prefix, type of service does not match procedure billed, procedures not on fee schedule are not separately reimbursable.
I sent in a copy of the Medicaid fee schedule along with the description out of the CPT book and procedure note.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thank you.
