I was curious if anyone else is coming across this issue. It appears that the Parkinson's parent code, G20, has the HCC indicator in the book but the expanded codes do not. The only Parkinson's codes that are showing as HCCs in the book are certain G21 codes.

Hello TMarti and M Albrecht
G20 dx is correct but per ICD10 add the dx blocks F02 or F06 dx blocks per documentation & coding conventions. I have seen dx F03, F02 have been expanded with more stages and descriptions. The HCC is 79 for dx G20 ,Rx HCC 161 and Dx F02 is 52 HCC RxHCC 112.
I hope this data helps you

Tthivierge, They are asking about G20.Ax, G20.Bx, and G20.C.
These are new codes as of 10/1/2023 and the new codes do not state that they risk adjust, even though the parent code, G20, does.

  • Hi There,
