Per CPT Manual the following codes are Office or other Outpatient Services 99201-99205. Our surgeons see patients at the emergency room so are we allowed to use these new patient codes since they are new patients to us and these codes do state other Outpatient services?
 
when you see a patient in the ER at the request of the ER physician , you use ER levels, (99281-99285) regardless of new patient established patient or consult status.
