Hello,

I am trying to understand this correctly. For example, we saw a patient as a new patient in our office but the patient has seen a different neurosurgeon outside of our group within three years(same speacialty). Can we bill as a new patient?

Thank you for any help or advise.

Crista

new vs established

My question is if a pt transfers his or her care and decides to come back to practice 2 years later is the patient considered new or established? Thanks for any help
