Patient was seen in ER 2 years ago. Now seen in our outpatient clinic is this considered a new patient or an established patient ?

Different specialty, right? Emergency Medicine vs Primary Care? If so, new patient.

if this is facility billing it is established patient, but honestly it makes little difference except for your internal reporting as the APC for est E&Ms are the same as the New patient E&M.
