If a new physician to a clinic is an employee of the group, how do you bill for services he performs? He is not contracted with any insurance companies.

Some insurances will retro, some will not, those that will, you will hold charges and bill when credentialed. Those that won't retro will be out of network. You cannot bill a new physician under another physician NPI #.
