I'm interested in knowing others' opinions. In the medical Decison Making area, for a pt seen in consult or as a new pt and the decision was made to bring the pt to sx, would you consider this a New problem, no additonal workup planned or New problem, additional workup planned?

Diagnostic Procedure or Treatment?

If the surgery is for a diagnostic procedure then YES it's additional work-up.

If the surgery is for treatment of the problem, then NO it's not additional work-up.
