Hi
If our practice has not seen a patient in over 7 years, I know that is considered a new patient. However, if the provider is seeing the patient for the same problem, is this considered a new problem or an established problem?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you,
Sue

If a provider bills as a New Patient E&M code then any problem (New or Established) related to the patient will be treated as a New problem for the provider.
