Can someone settle this for me. If a pt was seen in the office on 8/3/2010, and then not seen again till 1/25/13, would this be considered a New Pt or Est Pt visit? Does the time frame go from 3 years to date or just by years?. Example being, if pt seen in 2010, would he be considered NP in 2013, not matter what date seen in 2010. I was under the assumption it was 3 years to the date last seen. I appreciate your input!
