I have a couple of scenarios and I am not sure if they are being billed/coded correct. Not sure when code 80299 is appropriate and if anyone also has any additional information on when this code would be used, how many times it can be billed in one day, what documentation would support this, and are other tests needing to be performed before this test is run, I would greatly appreciate it.
On the labs/codes billed out for same day numerous times, would there be circumstances that this would be allowable and this is correct billing/coding or would it be considered incorrect billing/coding practices?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Line Item 80299-Billed out 7 times same day
Line Item 82145-billed out 2 times same day
Line Item 83925-billed out 2 times same day
Line Item 80255-billed out 2 times same day
Line Item 82542-Billed out 8 times for same day
Line Item 80154-Billed out 4 times for same day
Line Item 82570-Billed out 3 times for same day
