Any pointers for a coder new to Podiatry Coding?

Get to know your anatomy. And for Lis-Franc fractures you can bill for reducing the fracture and the dislocation as well. I'm new too. Just had a foot doc start a couple of months ago.

Start learning category wise like Bunion / Amputation / Osteotomy / Tendon repair / Ligament repair / ORIF / Nail procedures etc. These are just examples of commonly encountered procedures in Podiatry.

I would suggest AAOS website as primary source of reference.

Thanks,
Vernon Kreiss
