Hello Coders!! :)

I am new to primary care coding. I have always worked with only surgical coding, so this is very new to me. I am working in a huge primary care practice with over 275 docs. I wanted to see if someone could share some light on primary care coding, tools, resources and or books. I need to be steered in the right direction. I need to brush up on immunizations and office visits. Please help!!! Thank you so much :)[/B]

sample superbill

You can do an internet search for "family practice superbill" which will direct you to superbills with most of the common codes used in a family practice setting. I've attached one website, though there are many others.

These superbills, as you may expect, do not always detail the rules for use of individual codes. And this superbill is several years old so changes in billing practices would also need to be reviewed.

However, it does give you a place to start your research.
