We have hired on a new oncology physician.

He will be seeing a patient he's never seen before nor has this patient been seen at our practice before. However, this patient has been seen by one of his oncology partners at his previous location within the past three years. Will this be a new or established patient to our new physician?

He would be a new patient.

Agree with new. The oncology physician at your practice has never treated, nor has any current affiliation (not currently part of the same group).
