Wiki new vs. established for employed physicians

I work for an employed physician model. We have a cardio, ent, pulmonary, hospitalist group etc. If the cardio group were to see a patient and then that patient goes to the ENT group for the first time is he a new patient to the ENT group or is he established because all offices are technically owned by the same corporation? I have heard both ways. I also looked at the guidelines and it says same "group" does this mean office or corporation? Please help.:confused:

New vs established

If they are credentialed under different specialties, the patient would be new if they had not seen another physician "within the group" in that same specialty in the last three years.
