The company I work for purchased a private pediatric clinic effective 01/01/2018. They have a large clientele of established patients. Now that the Pediatricians are working for a different company, does that re-start the clock on New vs. Established codes? Would they become new patients or remain an established patient? I *think* they stay as an established patient. Thank you!

They are established to the physician. Doesn't matter where the physician worked or where the patients seen them. If the physician provided face-to-face professional services with the the patient within the past 3 years, they are established.

New vs. established is not based on insurance, or location seen. It's usually tied to an individual provider's NPI number which is pretty much the same regardless of where they end up or see patients.
