Wiki New vs Established Patient

Good afternoon all,

If one of our doctors performs an arteriogram on a patient, and then that patient comes into the clinic to discuss the result and any treatment options, would that patient be a New Pt or would they now become an Established Pt?

What if they were first seen for something non-invasive like a CT or MRA?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Once a physician has provided a face to face service the patient becomes established.

If all the physician did was read results of a test done by a tech, like a CT scan, then they would still be considered a new patient when they come for the results.
