Can anyone give me ideas of what to do with Well Visits for lab work, Medicare patients. And also Well Woman visits? If I code V70.0 Medicare will not pay for it, but the doctor thinks this is part of the Well Visit, their staff constantly tells me that if the doctor does not run the tests how do they know if the patient is actually doing well? As for the Well Woman I am told by doctors offices to use V72.31 ! This is a gynecological exam. If the doctor orders a lipid, TSH, and UA how is this a gyno exam? It will be denied as not medically necessary. According to the notices that I have read Well Visits do not include lab work for the patient, if I am reading it right. Any ideas please offer them, Thank You.
