The pediatrician I work for is the baby doctor for baby born a few days ago that ended up being transferred to another facility the 2nd day. The doctor wants me to charge something additional to the normal newborn charge for the time that she had to spend over there taking care of this baby prior to transport. I am fairly new to this and having a difficult time finding a CPT code that seems appropriate. The hospital here is not set up to care for critical or intensive care neonates which is why she transported the baby, but she did spend a lot of time over there caring for the baby. Also, if it helps, doctor was not present at delivery. Thanks!

Also, dx being used is respiratory distress, r/o sepsis and hypoglycemia
