Can someone tell me if there are any additional diags, beside the "v" code, to be reported for the NEWBORN'S coding? (healthy full term infant)

Also--if there were issues of fetal distress due to cord compression (again, baby is FINE!) do those get reported? if so--how? and where? (on whose billing?)

Thanks!

Janice

If the delivery was not normal (dx 650) due to fetal distress from cord compression, then this delivery was not normal, and you would code the dx code from the 660-669 range. All outcome of deliveries are from the V code series.
