How should I code for perinatal or neonatal depression? P09.8, P91.4, P84 or another code altogether? Or should I code the signs of the condition like apnea and hypotonia?

I would code dx as P91.4 and P28.9. However if documentation presented specific breathing or birthing problem I add that as 2nd dx. ell hope helped you.
