what is considered Undiagnosed new problem with uncertain prognosis for a newborn?
 
a symptom, illness, or potential condition for which the physician cannot quite give a definitive diagnosis without first doing additional workup. It's the same concept as for an adult, but relative to an infant. Failure to thrive might be one.... are they not growing because of breastfeeding issues, due to a potential metabolic problem (such as cystic fibrosis) or something else?
