Hello,
A topic of Nitrous Oxide in office- during procedures was brought up briefly today so I wondered if any of you have any experience with this. I did a little research and seems it is not a billable service to insurance, but maybe a self-pay option? I assume our billing office and hospital that we are owned by will come up with a plan- if our office wants to start offering it during IUD insertion or EMB/other uncomfortable office procedures. But wanted to know if anyone has any experience with this as an option and if you bill the patient or not.. and private office versus our office being owned by hospital probably makes a difference too.
(The hospital offers it to patients in labor at no charge) Thanks, Des
