The practice I work for recently brought on a pain management MD who sees patients in NY. we have been having issues with BCBS specifically the out of state plans stating since the MD sees patients outside of NJ it needs to be submitted to the New York local and not our NJ local. Does anyone have any experience with anything like this? When we initially brought the MD on we had no issues with our NJ local processing claims, but something must have been updated changed etc and now they will not process stating our NY local needs to process claims, but NY local gives us push back since we are NJ providers we need to submit there.
