if my doctors see a patient in the hospital (inpatient) and the patient only has part a and no supplemental insurance-I just wanna make sure patient is billable? Thanks for any help

Private insurance

Or, they may have private insurance. My father was covered under my mother's insurance plan long after he was eligble for Medicare. He carried ONLY part A and her private insurance coverage as long as she stayed employed. Physician statements AND facility statements went to private insurance as primary; facility statements went to Medicare as secondary.

Hope that helps.
