Can a physician bill for the administration and the use of drugs for a surgery in an office based lab?

The administration of the drugs is the anesthesia service, so administration would not be billed separately.

Anesthesia providers may bill for the drugs they administer if they provide these drugs in an office setting (POS 11). You will need to include the NDC (National Drug Code) for each drug on the claim, in addition to the dosages for each. The dosages for each drug can be found on the anesthesia record.
