Hey, I'm trying to make sure I don't missinterpret this CPT code. We have been charging Noninvasive Pulse Ox as 94760 x 3 per day durring inpatient or observation stays but when we bill it the medically unlikely edit catches it as not being able to bill more than 1 a day. I've changed the code to 94761 which states "mulitple determination (eg. durring exercise)" and it worked. However, today someone told me that they thought that code was for "continuous monitoring." Does anyone know about this? And if I am suppose to use 94760 do I add modifier 51? Thanks!
 
Multiple Pulse Ox

We just use the 94761 for multiple reads. 94761 is not an add on code so we don't use both 94760 with 94761.
