Not Billing Audiology testing

Medicare has said only audiologist can do testing and billing. Our practice has been doing testing for yrs but now we can't as we do not have an audiologist. My provider still does the testing but we do NOT bill Medicare or the Patient. We were told that we should not be doing the testing even though we do not charge or it but they did not give us a reason. Anyone got thoughts on this? I don't understand why if we are not billing. Thank you
