I finished the coding/billing program at an accredited school and am waiting for my test date. Although I cannot work as a CPC-A yet, how can I get my foot in the door? Should I apply to job offers that say "REQUIRED: CPC CERTIFIED" ? Do employers hire graduates from coding programs that don't yet have their certification?
I can apply to any and all openings for CPC-A that's out there, but I want to focus most of my time and attention on openings that are more within my reach. Any advice?
p.s. I am looking forward to joining this very skilled and important profession. I hope to work with you guys soon.
