This question is about V06.8, Other combinations of vaccinations.

For MMRV, for example, which does not have it's own combination code, the code is V06.8, Other combination.

But there is a note under the V06 category to "use additional single vaccination codes from categories V03-V05 to identify any vaccinations not included in a combination code." What does this note mean?

For MMRV, according to the note, do I also need to add the specific code for MMR and another for the Varicella?

Thanks

for MMRV I would use V06.8 if you are using the combination vaccine.

If are seperate than for the MMR I would use V06.8 "need for prophylactic vaccination against measles-mumps-rubella"

and for Varicella it would be V05.4 "Need for prophylactic vaccination and inoculation against varicella"

I agree, but I'm still puzzled by the note under V06. It says:

"Use additional single vaccination codes from categories V03-V05 to identify any vaccinations not included in a combination code."

What is this note saying?
