Wiki NP/PA joint effort...what would you do?

I have a nurse practitioner who encountered the patient for the E/M portion of the visit and she has done the documentation on this. She dictated in her note that our PA-C did the I&D portion of the visit for the patient's abscess. Do I bill each separately under each provider? If so, do I use a modifier for the NP's portion (E/M)?
