Can NP's bill under a physicians name for initial hospital visits?

No you cannot bill incident to in the facility setting. You can have a shared encounter but the physician must see the patient face to face on the same day and must write a chart note detailing the physician encounter and that he has read the NP encounter note and agrees or disagrees.
