I am trying to determine if a service is billable or not.
I have a provider that ordered an NST/BPP to be completed at the hospital. Is the ordering physician able to bill for the services (59025-26 or 76818-26), if the nurse spoke to the ordering physician and Received Verbal Telephone Orders from the physician to discharge patient home, but the physician was not actually present at the time of the service??
