I have a unique situation. A doctor in our IR department does a CT guided radiopharmaceutial injection directly into a tumor (say in the lung) - the patient is then transported to Nuclear Medicine for the Tumor localization scan which is read and interpretted by our Nuclear Medicine physician.

The tumor localization code includes IV injection of the pharmaceutical, but it doesn't specify this the direct injection into the tumor would be considered inclusive. And the 78808 for Injection procedure is again, IV not intra-tumor.

Any suggestions or would just consider it inclusive to the 78800?
