We have a new Nurse Practitioner who will be working as a provider in our hospitalist program. Is there any way to receive 100% of Medicare payment? Could we have a cross covering provider counter sign the hospital charts?

Is there any Legal way to accomplish this?

You would have to use split share visits, both the NP and the provider billing have to see (face to face)the patient and document a portion of the note. Google split share and CMS and it will pull the manual section that you need. Counter sign alone will not work for this.
