Does anyone know where you can find regulations for your state on the scope of practice or regulations for Nurse Practitioners? We need to know if they can see initial visits for new patients.
Thank you.

Check your state Dept of Health website for regulations regarding scope of practice for all types of providers specific to your state. In general, Nurse Practitioners are separately licensed and do not have to be supervised by a physician, so they can see new patients and bill independently.
