Our office sometimes schedule cath and suprapubic changes on the medical assistant's schedule. Can this be billed with 51702 and 51705 or does it need to be done on the provider's schedule to be billed? The nurse doesn't get vitals. Only documents that the cath was changed.

I believe as long as there is documentation of the type of catheter changed and the associated diagnosis you can bill it.
