Does anyone know of a good class/course/resource to help with Nursing Home coding? I have never coded NH and have been recently assigned this task and do not feel that I am doing the best that I can.

Nursing home coding is essentially a section of E&M. If you study how E&M is to be audited, then you're learning the correct information. In terms of diagnosis coding, these patients typically are recovering from an IP stay, and may have late effects, or multiple chronic conditions. Review ICD-10-CM official conventions to make sure you assign your codes appropriately. Since most NH patients are Medicare recipients, make sure you review your local carrier guidelines so that you're in compliance with documentation and medical necessity.
