I am trying to explain to my provider that he can code a 99305 for a New Admit/Re-admission instead of a 99309 due to the patient was admitted to the hospital for 4 days. Does anyone have a suggestion how I can explain this fairly easy. I have tried a couple ways but I think I am confusing him more.
