I need help with a visit that a doctor made to a nursing home to see a patient who was unable to come to our office for a visit following a hospital admission. Not in post-op and doctor is not a doctor on staff for the facility but went for the patients sake. Can I bill for the visit and if so what code the usual E/M for the office or something different? Any info would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!
