:confused:Would like others view points on the Nursing Home Initial visit qualifications. The CBO interprets the code to be the first time the provider Evaluates the patient. However, our charge entry is interpreting the code not being allowed to bill out an initial if the patient was admitted previously to the first day the provider sees the patient.

An example would be patient is admitted into the NH on 6/22/2016, and the provider does their rounds on 6/23/2016, this is the first time the provider is seeing this patient so it qualifies to be an initial, not a subsequent. Is that how others interpret that code?
