I am looking for coding info for OB patients with Indiana Medicaid. I have not billed OB in several years.

I have a few questions:

Do you bill for Delivery Only in the hospital plus an inpatient postpartum care? I read that you should not bill the 59410-delivery charge with postpartum care anymore for Indiana Medicaid. Is the subsequent visits global or can we bill a postpartum care code?

How many postpartum care visits can you bill for C-sections?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Indiana Medicaid

You will bill the PN visits 2-6 using 59425 and 7-plus 59426, you also want to use trimester modifiers U1, U2, or U3. For delivery you use the delivery only code with appropriate delivery modifier. You are allowed 2 postpartum visits regardless of delivery method. One can be as inpatient PP. Hope this helps.
