I am billing a commercial insurance - all the antepartum visits were done by one doctor in the the clinic setting so I would bill 59426 - at delivery I have one doctor who submitted billing for her H&P for 2/6/2025, then another doctor did the delivery 2/7/2025 and then a round 2/8/2025 and then another doctor did the discharge on 2/9/2025. It is my understand in this case since it is a commercial insurance it would be a delivery only billing for the doctor that actually did the delivery as they are all under the same Tax ID correct?

If all the maternity care is being provided by clinicians part of the same group and specialty, you should consider global billing. Many carriers require global billing in that scenario. Only of there is another reason (change of insurance, carrier does not accept global) would I split bill if all maternity care is provided by the same group.
