Hospital is converting ob triage to an "official" OB-ED department. Are ob visits now billed using ER codes? Any assistance on OB-ED coding or direction would be greatly appreciated.

I would reach out to the hospital for more clarification. They could just be changing how they are referring to their OB triage department. I don't see why they would want to list all the OB triage patients in an ER status but maybe they have a reason. If they are listing these patients as ER I would say bill ER code. If they aren't listing the patient as ER I would use the normal triage codes.
