We are in a teaching hospital with family medicine residents. We also have family medicine resident who graduated the program, and is now an OB/GYN fellow. Coding guidelines for the residents dictate that the resident cannot bill higher than a level 3. Do these same guidelines apply to the OB/GYN fellow who is essentially a fourth year resident?
