One of my OB doctors has performed an EFM (electronic fetal monitoring) on mom, to monitor for preterm contractions. This test is similar to a NST (non stress test- 59025) but is checking more on the mom instead of the baby. Does anyone know how this is usually coded? Is there a specific code for this or is it considered part of the usual OB global care?Please advise.
