If a OB patient is sent to L&D for a NST, are we billing out E&M codes(99213-99214) with POS 22, or are we supposed to bill out an emergency dept visit E&M (99283)? Patient is not admitted, and sent home the same day. I do work for an FQHC so I am not sure if the billing guidelines are different?

If patient only came in for NST, nothing else would be applicable. I am not really familier with FQHCs but I work for a large healthcare system and generally OB Triage would be billed with an office vist E+M, unless they are designated as part of the ED.
