The sonographers in my office said that the latest u/s seminar informed them that 76811 may only be billed by MFM. CPT does not state this; only that all components must be completed. We are not MFM; just plain OB/GYN. Am I right that we may bill this?
 
All of our OBGYN MDs bill for 76801 and we have never had a problem with that. Also there has been nothing about any changes in any of the Coding Alert or ACOG items we get.
 
Our OB/GYN providers bill all ultrasounds and we are reimbursed fully. I have not received any communication that indicates we won't get paid in the future.
